FUNDRAISING SUPPORT

Over 99% of businesses fail in efforts to secure the finance they need to achieve their objectives. Most fail because they can’t produce the business documents that investors want in the way that they want it and in a manner which shows how great their opportunity is, how they will achieve their objectives and how the investors’ risks are mitigated or protected against. Sometimes it is because the business fails to express these things properly. Often it is because they do not have clear processes and systems for achieving this in the first place regardless of how brilliant their idea is or how brilliant their business could be.

It’s rare that businesses’ projects are fully-funded before establishing in the region. In the likely eventuality that your business or project isn’t, our consulting work implements systems, processes and strategies to make your organisation more attractive to the right fit investors or donors for your business’s success and profitability and for these critical partners to also achieve their objectives.

One of the key challenges that both businesses and non-government organisations face in East Africa is a lack of finance; a lack of knowledge and information about how to attract that finance and who to attract it from.

While we don’t provide financial advice relating to investments or handle any money relating to investments, we can help businesses and non-government organisations achieve the following at any stage of a business’s lifecycle:

  • Implement systems and processes that are critical to your organisation’s long term stability and success that investors will also be looking at in determining whether your business is investment worthy or not.

  • Identify bankable off-takers for your business’s offerings that make you more attractive to investors and help with linkages to these.

  • Identify potential donors, investors or financial partners relevant to your organisation’s objectives with a focus on the partners that represent the best fit and devising and developing communication strategies for engaging with them and help with linkages to these.

  • For social enterprises or NGOs, identify non-traditional ways of fundraising and helping them develop the right PR and marketing messaging to support these campaigns.

  • We also provide support to financial institutions or accounting firms preparing work for Initial Public Offerings (IPOs) or mergers, acquisitions or investments or other financing options through our research, work and combined expertise on country political and economic risk.

The most effective way of doing this is undertaking a reverse engineering approach on the design, market and operational fit of your business as well as it’s systems and processes to ensure that not only is it investment grade in the eyes of investors, but it is also attractive to the right fit of investor for your business and if not, recommend on adjustments in order for your business to make this possible.

So far, we have a 100% success rate of finding investment for projects in which we have produced documents and looked for the investment and a 75% success rate of securing investment for clients when we have produced their documents and they have acquired the investment on their own.

For clients that we choose to work with on fundraising, we offer a full refund plus compensation should we fail to help your organsation raise the pre-agreed funds within the pre-agreed parameters and timeframes.
