PROBLEM SOLVING/ BUSINESS IMPROVEMENT
East African Solutions’ work identifies and solves problems for organisations in the region using a consultative, holistic and inclusive approach that solves organisations time and money.
Business in East Africa - like anywhere, is not easy and challenges can come from a number of directions including stakeholder and government relations, human resource issues, ineffective sales, marketing and PR, increased competition, finance issues, supply chain issues and operational challenges. More often than not, organisations suffer from more than one of these with one issue creating and causing another issue, which left unaddressed for long enough, can lead to business owners and managers feeling like these things are spiralling out of control.
How do we solve problems?
Each scenario is unique and needs to be tackled in a different way, but using a consultative, holistic and inclusive approach, the processes that we use to identify the cause of problems also often identifies the solution through the same processes.
Systems and processes
Often the reason for a problem in a business are systems, processes, tasks and actions that have either been neglected, insufficiently solved or overlooked long before the problem arises. We take your business through a number of steps to identify where this may have happened, identify the root causes of the problem and help you to address these.
Productivity
We can coach business leaders in techniques and advise on adjustments to working spaces that have been proven to increase productivity by up to 300% when employed correctly.
Communication and negotiation
Many business problems stem from an initial miscommunication or misunderstanding that creates a mismatch of expectations. These problems can often be resolved through effective empathy based negotiation, which we can either coach business decision makers in and/ or assist them when they approach these critical negotiations. We employ negotiation techniques proven to enhance negotiation outcomes by 27%.
Stakeholder identification and engagement
Approaches to solving problems can be supported by doing proper stakeholder identification of the various stakeholders to the problem and mapping and developing proper stakeholder engagement strategies with a variety of communication tools and techniques that can entail.
